Having cleared out the Borg in the Vorn system as part of the space portion of this mission you discover that there is a Borg presence on the planet along with a small number of honour guard officers, your job is to get them out and remove any Borg presence in your area.
The Mission...
As the team beams down they get an opportunity to decide on who does what in the mission before the mission itself actually gets going.
You will need to choose:
1: Guard for first transformer
2: Guard for second transformer
3: Guard for third transformer
Planter: Plants charges on turrets, activates 4th tranformer and assists with defence of third
Roamer: Assists where needed (primarily 1st and 2nd, should carry a pulsewave)
(I will refer to players by the above designations)
Having chosen your given jobs you are free to investigate the area, scan the console next to the forcefield and then turn on the transformers, this will lower the forcefield and start the mission. As you run down the hill make a point of spreading out as the borg have AoE attacks and flanking increases damage so focus your fire on two enemies at most at any given time (ensuring you have two weapon energy types and using both until the Borg adapt to them before using your remodulator as this will give the maximum amount of damage uptime) try to get the elite drone done either first or last allowing the team to focus all their fire on a single target and grab the two Klingons in the area.
As you move beyond the second Klingon the optional timer will begin and some text is given (do bear-in-mind this will be close regardless of how good the team is) the turrets are a matter of firing everything the team has at them until the repel field drops, at this point 1, 2 and 3 will attack the little turrets (if they can destroy them then they should assist the roamer) while the roamer keeps attacking the main turret (with a pulsewave) to cover the planter while they get in and put the bomb on the turret (the turret will raise cover shields when attacked). As soon as the bomb is placed on the turret the team should move on to keep time on the optional. As the team continues down the path they will be greeted by a couple of groups of Borg drones the second of which guards another couple of Klingons, use the same procedure you used for the first group.
After this you are faced with an open area with two more turrets and four transformers and some drones. The turrets will remain dormant until their respective transformers are activated so the group should clean out the Borg and 1 should stand next to the first transformer while the team prepares to take down the turret, the planter should declare when ready and 1 should activate the first transformer which allows the rest of the team to destroy the turret using the same procedure as the previous one, now 2 breaks off and takes position on the second transformer. As 2 starts their transformer 1 should prepare for the first wave of Borg and the remaining three members moving forward need to change tactics for the 2nd turret in the area, they need to bring the repel shield down allowing the planter to get in and put the bomb down while the team moves around the turret, standing on the little ones while firing at the main one (thereby raising cover shields to protect the planter). Once the second turret is down the roamer returns to transformer 1 and assists in it's defence while 3 takes their position and starts their transformer prompting 2's first wave, the planter should start number 4 asap and then help in the defence of 3 and 4 before notifying the team when the forcefield drops. (As soon as notice is given the team should drop their targets and run through the gap where the forcefield was to keep up with the optional timer.) If you have to redo this then you can assume the optional will fail.
From here it is a long run to the next set of transformers with multiple groups of drones that should be dispatched as fast as possible and the Klingons collected (one of these is tucked away, camouflaged against the floor on the right) before proceeding to the next set of transformers. Here you should repeat the previous procedure, when the forcefield drops you should rush to the final turret to take it down in order to get the optional, then turn back and kill any drones you left on the path to finish the optional (if you did leave any drones on the path other than those who attack the transformers you will have to clean them up before the mission ends so now is the time to make sure).
Once the team is sure the Borg have been eradicated from the area behind them they turn left from the final turret to take out all the drones and the generators to bring down the final forcefield, I advise a formation of two snipers atop the hill, a pulsewaver in the middle to cover them (preferably an engineer using the enemy neutralization kit for mines) and two to the right with rapid fire weapons or snipers and pick the drones off 2 or 3 at a time, the formation will provide large amounts of flanking damage. Then the team can continue on to their final battle with Armek of Borg, the last Klingon captain you were sent to find, this battle can be a long one.
Boss: Armek of Borg
This guy is a nasty so and so that gives science an opportunity to really shine with a medic kit, this can be done by means of 2 strategies, the Sniping corners of the pulsewave hug, this enemy has a forcefield appear as the battle starts and regular orbital strikes throughout the fight. In the second stage repel fields spawn on players and cover shields spawn around him.
Sniping corners: Set up 1 person in each corner of the forcefield that appears as the battle starts and one player in the middle to absorb all his damage output, for stage two find gaps between the cover shields and shoot him through them, eventually he will go down.
Pulsewave hug: Everyone gets up close, uses any damage buffs and fires until he dies (this seems to be the more reliable of the two methods)
Grab your rewards and leave.
